Job Title: Ministry Assistant / Next Steps Coordinator
Reports to: Associate Pastor of Ministry
Classification: Non-exempt, Part-Time
Position Overview:
Serve as a member of the Ministry Team under the supervision of the Associate Pastor of Ministry, providing administrative support to the Ministry Team and connect new members and guests with the ministries of Hopewell. The bulk of this administrative support will be devoted to the Associate Pastor of Ministry. Duties and responsibilities should be performed in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and strategies of Hopewell Baptist Church.
Essential Functions:
• Administration
- Process paperwork and copies for the different ministries of Hopewell
- Track expenses of the ministries of Hopewell
• Mission Trips
- Record and track team members and payments.
- Print luggage tags and information paperwork
- Help will any pre-trip pickups or packing
• Next Steps Coordinator
- Connect with Guest and New Members
- Answer questions about the Worship, Discipleship and Ministry of Hopewell
- Prepare supplies for Guest Service
• Assist members of the Ministry Team with needs, such as:
- Setting up for various activities
- Printing, copying, and binding leader materials as needed
Competencies:
- Must be able to type proficiently (minimum 55 words per minute).
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office 365, including PowerPoint and Publisher.
- Must be proficient with Google-based programs, such as Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
- Must be a quick learner and a team player.
- Strong born-again Christian that is heavily involved in a church of like faith and order with a lifestyle within the teachings of God’s Word and the values of Hopewell Baptist Church
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a non-exempt, part-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Some Special Events may require hours of work outside of the regular work hours.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Two years of related experience in an office environment
