Transition Plan

On September 10, 2023, Dr. Lee Pigg announced his one year retirement plan from Hopewell Baptist Church of Monroe. After faithfully serving Hopewell for a quarter of a century, Pastor Lee and his wife Michelle are asking the church to join them in celebrating this decision as he truly believes the greatest days of Hopewell are not behind us, but in front of us. In approximately six months Hopewell will seek an Interim Pastor. September 22, 2024 is scheduled to be Pastor Lee’s last day at the church. Hopewell will be releasing more information and videos throughout the process to keep their members and community informed during the transition.

Missions

October is Hopewell’s Missions Emphasis Month. We will spend the month focusing on the 3rd strand of our church’s vision:  Worship-Discipleship-Ministry. During the month of October, we are asking our Hopewell Family to use the gifts and talents God has given them to serve in ministries during the month. You can do this individually, as a family, or with your discipleship group. Also, pray about what to give to the Mission’s Offering on Sunday, October 29th. This entire offering will be donated to local, national, and international ministries. It is important that everyone catches the vision of missions and allow God to impact his/her heart and mind through sacrifice and service.

Making the Hope of Jesus the Foundation of Every Home

The Bible clearly teaches that the spiritual formation of the next generation must happen primarily within the context of the home (see Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:4). Just attending church together isn’t enough. Disciple-making MUST – first and foremost – happen at home. Hope@Home exists to equip and encourage families to intentionally engage in discipleship throughout the week.
