Recreation

The purpose of the Hopewell Recreation Ministry is to assist the athletes in growing physically, mentally and spiritually through athletic competition. We believe athletics can be a valuable tool in leading people to follow Christ by emphasizing spiritual teaching and coaching, Christ-like sportsmanship, and glorifying God over self.

From softball and basketball, to soccer and flag football and more, we offer yearly recreation and sports activities for adults and children.

Adult Sports

Dodgeball

Co-Ed. 6 versus 6 with teams of 8-10 players.  Cost is $50 per player. Anyone ages 16+.
Adult Dodgeball will not take place in the winter of 2023-24. We will pick back up later in 2024.

Men's Winter Basketball. Season begins in December.

Flag Football

Spring Flag Football games will begin on March 25th and run until June 3rd.
All games will be played at the fields located at Hopewell Baptist Church.

Women's Summer Slow Pitch Softball. Season begins in May. Cost is $50. Ages 16+.

Men's Spring Softball.  Season begins in March.

Fitness

Ladies CROSStraining classes meet on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM in the Church Life Center.

The classes are designed to build endurance and strength physically, mentally and spiritually. Class format will vary weekly by utilizing circuit training and group fitness. Modifications are offered to accommodate most fitness levels. Bring water and a friend.

Men's Summer Golf League

Season begins in June. Cost is $20 per week paid directly to the clubhouse at Red Bridge Golf Course in Locust.

Glow in the Dark Golf Tournament

2-Man scramble at Red Bridge Golf Course in Locust. Cost is $55 per player. 6th Grade+.

  • Boy's Coach Pitch - 7-8 year old. Cost is $85.00. Season begins in March. Registration opens January 14, 2024
  • Boy's Kid Pitch - 9-10, 11-12 year old. Cost is $90.00. Season begins in March. Registration opens January 14, 2024
Spring Fast Pitch Softball
  • Girl's - 7-9 year old. Cost is $85.00. Season begins in March. Registration opens January 14, 2024
  • Girl's - 10-11 and 12-15 year old. Cost is $95.00. Season begins in March. Registration opens January 14, 2024
Fall Fast Pitch Softball
  • Girl's - 7-9 year old. Season begins in August. 
  • Girl's - 10-11 and 12-15 year old. Season begins in August.

Fall Flag Football & Cheerleading

Boys and Girls ages 5-15 are eligible to play flag football. We also have cheerleading for the same age groups for girls if they would prefer to cheer instead of playing football.

Flag Football and cheerleading are broken into age divisions; 5-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-15. Cost is $75.00. Season begins in August.
