You’re on a journey — and we’re glad you’re here.
Whether you’ve just begun exploring who Jesus is or you’ve recently decided to follow Him, this is a place to help you take your next steps in faith. Every person’s journey toward God is unique, but the destination is the same: knowing Jesus Christ personally and discovering the life He offers.
Here, you’ll find clear answers to common questions about faith, God, and the Bible, along with simple explanations of words and ideas that might be new to you. Wherever you are in your spiritual walk, our hope is that this space helps you understand who Jesus is, why He matters, and how you can know Him for yourself.
The Bible says:
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17
This is the beginning of a relationship with the living God, not just a new religion.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to earth to save us. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay for our sins, and rose from the dead so that we could have eternal life (John 3:16).
Trusting Him as Savior (He forgives your sins).
Obeying Him as Lord (He leads your life).
Knowing Him as Friend (He is with you always).
Now that you have made the decision to follow Christ, you may have questions on your next steps on the journey.
The Bible says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (the Boss of your life) and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved (Romans 10:9). Salvation isn’t about feelings—it’s about God’s promise.
All Christians stumble. The good news is God forgives us when we confess (1 John 1:9). Salvation is secure in Christ, but we keep growing in holiness day by day.
No. If you have truly trusted Jesus, your salvation is secure. Jesus said, “No one can snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28).
We live in a broken world affected by sin. But God promises to work all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). He also promises His presence and comfort.
Prayer is talking with God. You don’t need fancy words—just honesty. Jesus gave a model prayer in Matthew 6:9-13, but He also listens when we simply pour out our hearts.
Start with an easy-to-understand translation like the ESV, NIV, or NLT. Begin in the Gospel of John, then move to Acts and Romans.
Baptism is a public declaration that you belong to Jesus. It doesn’t save you, but it shows outwardly what God has already done inwardly (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3-4).
Look for a church that: Teaches the Bible faithfully. Centers on Jesus. Welcomes you into community. Encourages growth in discipleship.
The cross is central because that’s where Jesus died for our sins. “Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” (Hebrews 9:22). The resurrection proves His victory.
Read God’s Word daily (Joshua 1:8). Pray consistently (Philippians 4:6). Join fellowship with believers (Hebrews 10:24-25). Obey what you learn (James 1:22).
Worship is giving God honor with your whole life—through singing, serving, giving, and how you live (Romans 12:1).
Feelings come and go, but God’s presence doesn’t. Trust His promises (Hebrews 13:5). Stay in Scripture, prayer, and fellowship.
Jesus commands us to share the good news (Matthew 28:19-20). When you share, you’re inviting others into the same life-changing relationship you’ve found.
Here are simple definitions of common “church words” that can be confusing:
