The Good Life

Passage: Psalms Psalm 127:1-5

Everyone is searching for the "good life"—more money, a bigger house, a better job, the perfect vacation. But what if we've been measuring success by the wrong standard?

Psalm 127 reminds us that a life built apart from God is ultimately empty. We can spend our days chasing achievements, possessions, and status, only to discover that the things we valued most don't satisfy. The good life isn't found in frantic striving or self-reliance—it's found in trusting God, building according to His priorities, and investing in what truly lasts.

A fruitful life is one that glorifies God, treasures family, values the next generation, and rests in the Lord's provision. The question isn't simply what you're building—but what you're building it on.

"Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain." (Psalm 127:1)
