Passage: Mark 3:6-8

Are you more focused on rules… or on people?

In Mark 3:1–6, Jesus walks into a synagogue and meets a man in desperate need of mercy. But instead of compassion, the religious leaders are watching—waiting—hoping to catch Him doing something “wrong.”

They cared more about procedure than people.
More about rules than restoration.

But Jesus shows us something powerful: Mercy always takes priority over legalism.

While others stood silent, Jesus acted.
While hearts were hardened, His was moved with compassion.
And in a moment, a broken life was restored.

This passage challenges us deeply: Are we quick to judge—or quick to show mercy?

Do we see problems—or people?

Because at the end of the day, people don’t need more rules… they need the Lord.
