Passage: Colossians 1:24-29
What does a healthy, Christ-centered ministry look like? In Colossians 1:24–29, Paul lays out his model of ministry—marked by suffering, stewardship, and Spirit-empowered labor. His example reminds us that ministry isn’t about ease or comfort, but about joyful sacrifice, proclaiming Christ faithfully, and depending wholly on His power.
We’ll also look at the life of missionary Adoniram Judson, who endured profound suffering and yet saw the gospel take root in Burma. His testimony, like Paul’s, shows us that fruit often comes through faithful endurance.
As we prepare to observe the Lord’s Supper, this passage calls us to embrace Paul’s Christ-centered pattern of ministry until He comes. True ministry involves laying down our lives for the sake of the gospel—rejoicing in hardship, proclaiming truth, and trusting in God’s strength.
