Passage: Mark 4:1-20
Jesus was the Master Storyteller, but His parables were about much more than telling a good story.
In the Parable of the Sower, Jesus challenges us to examine the condition of our hearts. The same seed is scattered, but it falls on different types of soil—and only one produces lasting fruit. The difference isn't the seed. The difference is how it's received.
Every time we hear God's Word, we are responding to it in some way. Are our hearts hard, distracted, shallow, or receptive? Are we merely hearing the truth, or are we allowing it to transform us?
Jesus ends this parable with a powerful challenge: "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
The question isn't whether you've heard God's Word. The question is: What are you doing with it?
